Feel the Freedom of Forgiveness

“If forgiving someone requires waiting until “we feel right about it” or waiting for the person who harmed us “to earn our forgiveness,” we may have a long wait.  Yet, forgiving another person depends  on us and never on the person who hurt us. Certainly their hurt leaves a sting and maybe even a lasting wound, but we can’t wait for healing  to grant forgiveness. Why?  Because forgiveness never depends on the other person earning it.  We forgive, out of gratitude to God who always forgive us no matter the offense nor the number. In this present moment remember forgiveness is not about us, it’s all about God.  Let’s forgive and  live today well !
